Access

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Our Medical Centre was built to be fully compliant with current legislation regarding disabled access including extra wide doors and corridors, easily accessible toilet and a lift to first floor. Included in the design are many features which will be of assistance to those with visual impairments.

Car Parking

The car park is shared with the on-site Pharmacy and includes spaces for those with blue/orange badges, for patients and for staff.

Please be aware that access must be maintained for emergency vehicles at all times and that staff car spaces must be kept for that purpose and not blocked as staff may be required to go out on emergency calls at any time.

Loop System

There is a Hearing Loop in reception for use by people with hearing aids and the building has been designed and decorated to make it easier for people with visual problems. We have a disabled toilet and baby change facilities.

Blind / Partially Sighted

If you or family members are blind or partially sighted we can give you a large print of our practice leaflet upon request. Please ask Reception for further information.

For more advice and support for blind people please see the following websites:

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are welcome at the surgery but we ask that you be aware of other patients and staff who may have an allergy or fear of dogs.
