Dr James Pumphrey
Gender: Male
Primary qualifications: BMBS, MRCGP, BMedSci, DTMPH, DCCM, PGcert Medical Education
GMC number: 7420340
Dr Pumphrey graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013. He moved to Brighton a year later in pursuit of downland walks and vegan options, and has got better at going in the sea with every passing summer.
Dr Pumphrey was a GP registrar at Mile Oak, and was very happy to be asked to stay on once he’d finished his training. He loves the relationships you can build as a GP, as well as the variety, the need to make your peace with uncertainty and the chance to co-create plans tailored to the individual. He is currently working with ‘Altogether Better’ to try and find exciting new ways of working together with our local community. Dr Pumphrey is also interested in Sustainability and Greener Practice and would be very happy to talk to absolutely anyone who’ll listen about the relationship between health and the environment, and what we can do to help them both.
He enjoys walking, running, cycling and sea swimming.
